Tips for attendees of the 2019 SVUS Award
1 – Please plan to arrive promptly between to pick up your printed tickets at the registration desk outside the event room
Traffic and parking time in San Francisco can sometimes delay your arrival. This is a formal event and attendees are arriving from all over the world. So allow yourself sufficient amount of travel time. Once the awards presentation starts we will not be able to include those who are late. Tables and seats are preassigned and written on your printed tickets. Meals are served at the table.
2 – Date, Venue and Agenda of the 2019 SVUS Awards Red Carpet Ceremony and Dinner
Date: Monday, October 28, 2019
Venue: Mark Hopkins InterContinental San Francisco at 1 Nob Hill, San Francisco, CA 94108 – United States (there are 2 InterContinental hotels in San Francisco – please make sure that you have the correct address)
3 – Where can we pick up the printed tickets?
Peacock Room. You can pick up your printed tickets after 5 pm at the registration desk on 1st floor. There will be signs directing you to the SVUS Awards room at the hotel.
4 – Parking Garage and Parking Tickets for those who are driving
If you are driving then you may park your vehicle at the hotel’s garage. Valet parking is available for those attending the event and there is a fee that has to be paid (this is for the event attendees only). This fee has to be paid by the attendees directly to the valet attendant.
5 – Are tickets sold at the door? Can we bring additional last-minute or surprise guests? Can we purchase additional tickets for more attendees?
Tickets are not sold at the door. No last-minute or surprise guests will be allowed at the event. We have a strict policy on no admittance for guests that did not purchase tickets in advance.
Tickets for additional guests must be purchased online in advance subject to availability. Tickets can be purchased if still available.
All attendees will have tables/seats and meals assigned on the day of the event.
Children or anyone under 21 years of age will not be permitted to attend the event.
6 – What steps can attendees take to make sure that the awards ceremony is both fun and memorable?
7 – What is the dress code for attendees? What are the meal choices?
Dress Code: Black-Tie/Dress, Tux, Formal Business Attire
Meal Choices: Chicken, Fish, Vegetarian, Vegan or Kosher (all meal choices must be informed to us in advance)
8 – Will all attendees walk the Red Carpet?
Yes. All the attendees are the stars of the ceremony. The attendees will get to walk the red carpet. A team of professional photographers will be present during the red carpet walk.
9 – Are more than one awards program represented at the 2019 SVUS Awards ceremony?
10 – Does each winner have to give an acceptance speech? When will be the acceptance speech for each winner? How long is the acceptance speech supposed to be?
11 – What will the winners present receive?
Winners present at the awards banquet with valid tickets will receive as follows:
Gold Winners – Gold Trophies
Silver Winners – Silver Medals
Bronze Winners – Bronze Medals
All attendees will also receive a copy of the awards night printed book with all the winners listed in it. This is a Memorabilia Book that winners like to keep.
12 – What are Social Media Stations and how can winners and attendees take advantage of this opportunity?
After the dinner and the ceremony of handing the trophies/medals is over, we will have 2 video recording stations (called Social Media Stations) near the main stage managed by photo and video professionals where you can do longer recordings of 2-5 minutes talking about your company, your products/services, your win, etc. The video clips will be made available to you later.
13 – How do I update our organization’s attendee or meal information?
14 – Can we purchase additional tickets for more attendees?
Yes tickets can be purchased if still available. Tickets are not sold at the door. Those who have not purchased tickets in advance will regretfully be turned away. To avoid disappointment, please purchase all your tickets in advance.
15 – Our organization has won in more than one or multiple awards programs. How will our organization’s winners be announced?
16 – Photos and Videos
All photos and videos will be made complimentary to the attendees so please use our photographers and video professionals at the event. You will begin the event by walking the red carpet and there will be photographers.
